doctor and weekend cowboy, Chase Cooper, is ready to settle down, and he’s
beginning to wonder if his best friend from high school, Mari Blair, could be
the one that got away. Coop and his

invitation.
When lawyer,
Julia Blair, finds herself on a dude ranch half way across the country, only to
discover the invitation was meant for her vivacious twin sister, she knows she
has two choices—go home alone or walk a day in her sister’s shoes. When she
sets eyes on sexy cowboy Chase Cooper, the choice becomes easy. She's
determined to stay and have some carefree fun while at the ranch.
Coop can’t
believe the mix up, but when he discovers Julia wants to play, then play they
will. When things get steamy and playtime becomes so much more, he’s determined
to prove she’s the girl for him. And he’s not above using a few tricks of the
trade to get his point across…
My Review: 4 1/2 stars
This was a great novella to just jump right into. Good characters, enjoyable storyline. Who doesn't wonder about the one that got away, right? Most people do. In this case, Cooper and his buddies wonder late one night. Then they set in motion a plan to bring the girls that got away to their ranch to find out it it's not too late. When Cooper sends his invitation, he's thinking about one sister, but later - he realizes that it should have been the other one he sent the invitation to; they're twins, but so different. Once Julia steps off the plane instead of her sister, Mari, Cooper is excited to have Julia there. But once Julia realizes the invitation was meant for her sister, she wants to leave. Cooper has to do some fast talking and gets Julia to stay for the night. Then things start to happen and Julia decides to stay for the week, with no further plans. Cooper sets about changing her ideas and plans, because now that he's had her - he doesn't want to let her go. This was a really easy read to get into. As I already said, the characters were good, the storyline went along quickly. There were some hot, passionate moments in the barn and other places, and that always adds to the enjoyment, expecially if the characters connect. Wow, did they! Cathryn did a great job with this, and I'm looking forward to reading more of her work.
