My Review: 4 1/2 stars
I honestly enjoyed every single book in this series. This one is about Jenny who is a teacher and is now taking care of Charlie, while Mia and Gideon go on their honeymoon. This dog is a serious matchmaker! Jenny goes to return Charlie to Mr. Bonaparte, and to give him a little info and ask for something in return. He seems to be cold and callous, so Jenny takes Charlie back home with her. Nick Bonaparte, who is Charlie's owner has been away for quite some time. No one knows why he's been gone or exactly what he looks like, as no one has had a face to face meeting with him. Until Jenny accidentally meets him after their initial argument, when she's searching for Charlie and Lulu, her dog. It's at night and it's quite dark, but she runs when she sees his face. Not for the reasons he thinks though. It's really a sweet story about perceptions and how you think people perceive you can do you more harm than good. This story is also about letting go of those old perceptions and gaining some new insights from others, who care about the real you. Barbara did a fantastic job with this, I only wish it had an Epilogue so that we could see what happens next with Jenny and Nick.
