My Review: 4 1/2 stars
What a sweet read. I love Charlie, he's adorable and he seems to know exactly who these women need. Marney borrows Charlie from Gabby after she hears noises in her house and the Sheriff accuses her of calling 911 just to meet him. Well, that doesn't go ever very well, especially when she really was just scared. Marney figures the Sheriff is just a good looking, full of himself jerk. Then one weekend she goes out of town and runs into the Sheriff at the most unlikely place. And he kisses her. Dell, the Sheriff wants Marney to keep his secret about who he really is and they fall into a friendship and bed. One thing leads to another and before she knows it, Marney is keeping the Sheriffs secret, but also falling for him. When she is honest about her feelings, knowing that he doesn't want a relationship, she walks away. Can Dell really let Marney walk away when she really knows the real him? Will he decide to take a chance on them? Susan does a great job with this, I really liked the characters and the story is so easy and quick to read. Marney and Dell are so easy together and have great chemistry. I'm loving this series.
