My Review: 4 1/2 stars
I was really surprised by this book. I was expecting something completely different, but this was really good. I liked the intrigue, suspense and damn, the sexual tension was cranked up high. Cole and Emma have a bit of history, and it's really not good. Cole works for a Security company that's trying it's best to stop a very dangerous, criminal mastermind. Emma is looking for her brother, Jacob, who has gone missing. Emma and Cole get thrown together when Emma shows up unexpectedly, and they are thrown into this web of lies, mistrust and half-truths. It's a pretty complicated story, so I'm not really going to try to explain it, other than to say it was really good. I loved Emma and Cole together, and was glad when the truth came out. I loved the story line, and while it was complicated, it was very well written. By the end of the book, you know who everyone is and their connection to what has happened. Cathy did a fabulous job of keeping me not only entertained, but glued to the pages to find out what would happen next. Because there were some serious plot twists going on in this, just when you thought you knew - nope. I loved it, because I don't like predictable when I'm reading, I like to be kept on my toes. Cathy did a great job of doing just that.
