One locked safe, a
troublemaking tattoo, and two determined people… add up to unlocked secrets and
a love that just won’t stop.
Luke “Lucky”
O’Conner is a committed bachelor. His motto…“Nobody’s ever getting this Lucky.”
So when Kaley Harlow walks into his tattoo shop and somehow leaves with the
only record of the numbers to his new safe tattooed on her sexy little hip,
Lucky’s motto is threatened. If he wants to see those numbers again, he has to
get close. Closer than he’s ever gotten to any woman. And he has three weeks to
do it.
Kaley Harlow, a
happily washed-up former child star, is out to ruin her reputation. She’s
through with people looking at her like she’s still that innocent little girl
in pigtails. Not to mention, her agent has just signed her up for a movie
contract. But, really, all Kaley wants is to start a new life and finally go to
college.
When Lucky happens
into Kaley’s life for the second time, the hot, tattooed badass is exactly what
she needs to sabotage her image. But this badass has a secret, one that could
ruin more than just Kaley’s reputation.
“Where are you going?” Lucky’s voice tapped up every
vertebra on her back. “We’re not done here.”
She stopped but didn’t look at him. “We’re not?”
“Don’t you remember what I said I was going to do
the next time I was with you?”
Staring at the closed door, she tried to remember
but wasn’t quick enough.
“If you’re wearing panties, you’re gonna need to
take them off.”
Suddenly, the memory soared into her mind. Her pussy
pulsated as though his mouth was already on it, and the thought of his tongue
touching her anywhere toyed with her emotions and her body all at once.
“Don’t worry. I’ll stick with giving and not
taking.”
The comment forced Kaley to look over her shoulder
at him.
With his ass resting on the edge of the desk, his
hand still casually shoved into the pocket of his jeans, and a wolfish grin on
his gorgeous face, he said sternly, “Take your panties off and come over here.”
“You want me to…” She glanced at the door. “In
here?”
“What I want is for you to do as I say, but the
choice is ultimately yours. You can be a good girl and walk out that door, and
I’ll see you on Friday. Or,” he said, gripping the edge of the desk with his
hands and leaning forward, “you can bring that sweet little ass over here and
let me taste you.”

Every book I've read by Kelly has been great! This book is no exception. I thought Lucky was intriguing when first introduced to him in this book. He is, but he's so much more than that. He's tortured by a past that he can't change and no one can get him to see differently. He doesn't believe that he's good enough to have someone of his own to love in his life, because of the past. He's a successful business man, who just happens to be hotter than sin, charming, easy to talk to, and so much more.
Kaley is in Lucky's shop to try to tarnish her image. She's contractually obligated to do one more movie, but she doesn't want to. She just wants to get on with her life, her plans. So she's trying to change from being a good girl to a bad girl. Lucky does something very uncharacteristic, and that results in him needing to see Kaley again. Granted, he hasn't been able to get her out of his mind, so he wants to see her anyway. The reason just gives him extra incentive.
Lucky and Kaley come to an agreement, and they start spending time together so he can tarnish her image - but not her. The only issue with that is the intense sizzling chemistry these two have whenever they're together. The build-up of them actually being together is so freaking hot. Eventually, Kaley finds out the truth behind Lucky coming to see her the first time, and everything falls apart. She just doesn't plan on him giving up his secret to save her.
I loved the ending of this book, it was fantastically written, and the story line moved quickly, always something happening. The characters were beautifully done, flawed, imperfect and wonderful. I loved seeing the brief glimpse of Fallon. I'm hoping we get to learn more about him soon. This is a wonderful series, and if you haven't read the first two books, I'd recommend reading them as they're both great reads.
Kelly resides in a
quiet suburb somewhere between Buffalo and Niagara Falls, NY. Her day job?
Kelly's worked in the healthcare field for years, representing a group of
reputable nursing facilities in the WNY area.
She's been
faithfully writing for three years. However, she wrote her first book ten years
ago but had to put it down to raise her son as a single mom. When her son got a
little older, she was able to pick it back up. That's when she settled into her
newly married life and started to seriously write again.
