There's
only one thing in life Lucien Knight really hates, and that's husbands who
cheat on their wives.
There's only one problem in Sophie Black's life. Her cheating
husband...
From the moment Lucien & Sophie meet, the seal is set.
Romantic, emotional & intensely erotic, Knight and Play is
the perfect read for lovers of international bestsellers Fifty Shades & Bared
To You. Let yourself be swept away by Part One of the Knight series from
Kitty French, a romance so hot it'll burn your fingers...
CEO of Knight Inc. Lucien Knight is catch-your-breath gorgeous and
damaged by his troubled past in Norway. All grown up and relocated to London, he's
built his empire of adult clubs from the ground up to become the gorgeous
patron saint of the sex industry. No one knows the dark childhood secrets that
have given Lucien a backbone of steel and a heart encased in ice. No one until
Sophie Black, that is...
From the moment girl-next-door Sophie accepts the job as Lucien
Knight's PA, she understands how Alice must have felt when she tumbled down the
rabbit hole. Lucien takes her safe, vanilla life away and plunges her head
first into a huge dish of fantasy flavours. Rich, spicy chocolate covered with
dark, oozingly lickable sauce? Check. Tutti-frutti with indecently red,
glistening cherries on the top? Yes please.
Lucien strips away all of Sophie's inhibitions, and when he instructs
her to select three new toys, she soon realises he has more than a game of
Monopoly on his mind...
He's opened the door to a whole new pleasure packed world without
limits, and Sophie is utterly intoxicated. But how far is she willing to go?
And what happens when she has to step back into reality again?
Lucien & Sophie's is a story of star crossed love and forbidden
passion, a sexual odyssey that spans the globe and changes both of their lives
forever. Let it change yours, too.
Excerpt
He wasn’t a man given to romance, but
the perfect weight of this woman in his arms
and the majesty of the skies above
them filled him with an unexpected sense of peace.
Moments later he carried her through
the quiet rooms of his home with her head on
his shoulder, and by the time he
lowered her down onto the bed, she was asleep, tear
tracks still just visible on her
cooling pink cheeks. When he brushed a blonde strand
of hair out of her eyes she sighed
and turned her face into his palm, looking for
comfort in his touch even as she
slept.
Long buried emotions forced their
way to the surface as he curled around her and
spooned her body into his.
Comfort, sweeter than he’d ever
found from a woman’s touch.
Fear, spikier than he’d felt for
anyone since the day his mother had died.
Anger, sharper than he’d sensed it
since the last time he’d laid eyes on his father.
Bile rose in his throat at the
thought of the man whose actions had driven his mother
to her death.
How dare Sophie’s husband push her
to this?
How could he put her at risk for the
sake of a cheap thrill?
As Sophie’s husband and Lucien’s
father meshed together in his mind, he tightened
his hold around her pliant, sleeping
form. The quilt settled soft and warm over their
shoulders, and he fought to match
his heartbeat to her slow, steady breathing pattern.
There was only one thought in his
mind as sleep claimed him.
He would protect this woman.
He wouldn’t fail again.
My Review: 5 stars
This one was an eye opener for me, in a few different ways. I really liked Sophie. That girl had so much courage. To be willing to change her life for herself, since it seemed her husband really wasn't interested in what she did, was inspiring. I think we should all take a chance on ourselves every once in a while. Lucien Knight is a dangerous man. He is powerful, sexy and demanding. However, he's also intrigued by Sophie and her innocence. Once Sophie learns the truth about her husband, she decides to give in to her own desires and wants for a change. Sophie gets more than she bargained for, but so does the man who offers her those desires fulfulled. Lucien has his reasons for opening Sophies eyes, and they're not entirely selfish. This was a fantastic opening to this trilogy. Yes, it sort of ended with a cliffhanger, but not your typical one. It could be considered a stand alone, as not every book has a happy ending. It's only because it's a trilogy that I knew it was a cliffhanger. I loved reading the scenes between Lucien and Sophie where he was giving her more than he thought he was. Lucien may be a Viking sex god, but I do believe he has found what he's not looking for just when he needs her. Fantastic job Kitty!!
Knight & Stay (Knight #2)
Sophie black has turned her back on both her cheating husband and her
sexy, enigmatic boss Lucien Knight. When she hits rock bottom, she finds
herself drawn back into Lucien's glamorous no strings, high stakes world of
intensely erotic encounters.
Bold and beautiful, Lucien is a walking, talking Viking sex god-the
ultimate rebound guy. His is a seductive world of pleasure without limits or
commitment, but can Sophie's already bruised heart survive his strictly no ties
rule?
When her husband returns with his tail between his legs, Sophie is
faced with the toughest decision of her life. How does she choose between the
man she vowed to love forever and the man who she hadn´t planned on loving at
all?
Knight & Stay is a star-crossed romantic adventure that spans the
globe from Paris to the glittering artic northern lights, a sexual odyssey of
love and lust that changes the lives of everyone involved forever.

"You didn't come to work on Monday."
Sophie placed the mugs on the table and sat
down opposite Lucien.
"Did you seriously expect me to?"
He lifted one shoulder, as if bemused she even
needed to ask. "Yes."
She shook her head. He couldn't be serious.
"You hit my husband."
"Do you expect me to apologise? He
deserved it." Lucien worked hard to maintain his casual bearing but the
expression in his eyes went from cool to lava hot, leaving Sophie well aware of
how on edge he was.
"You had no right." Sophie's
fingernails bit into her palms as her fists tightened. "I wanted to do
things my way. You took away my choices."
She watched him digest her words and for the
briefest moment, saw uncertainty flicker in his eyes.
"Choices?" He leaned forward and
drummed his fingers on the table. "Way I see it, you didn't have any choices
to make, Sophie. Your husband's a lowlife, you needed rid of him."
Sophie mirrored his rigid stance across the
table. "And there you go again, making my decisions for me."
A pulse flickered along the hard set of his
clenched jaw.
"I thought you'd make the wrong
one."
"So you made it for me."
He leaned back, folding his arms defiantly
across his chest.
"I'm not sorry."
"Men never are." Sophie regretted
the cheap generalisation the moment it left her lips, but the last few days had
left her more than a little jaded.
"I'm not like him, Sophie." Lucien's
words were spoken so softly that Sophie only just caught them.
"No. No, you're not like him," she
spat. "You're your very own brand of fucked up, Lucien."
My Review: 5 stars
Once everything hits Sophie, she walks away from both Lucien and her husband, Dan. Even though their relationship began unconventionally, Sophie and Lucien found something that most people look for and never quite find. Once Sophie comes back to work for Lucien, things change. But the sexual tension between these two never ends. It's only a matter of time before someone snaps from it. The biggest obstacle in their relationship, however, is Lucien's belief that love is not in the cards for him. The truth of the matter is that he loves Sophie and doesn't realise what love feels like, since he's never felt that way about anyone in his adult life. Sophie, being the brave person she is, just puts it all out there for Lucien. He walks away from Sophie still believing that he doesn't love her, even though he wants her with him all the time. How do you make someone believe in something they don't believe exists for them? Kitty has done an excellent job once again. I love these characters! Lucien is every bit the Viking and Sophie, damn, that girl is amazing. It's not hard to read these books, it's hard to stop.

“Listen, Kara…” Dylan topped up
their champagne glasses in the silence that followed Lucien and Sophie’s disappearance. “I think we
may have got off on the wrong foot, and for my part in that, I’m sorry.”
He handed Kara her glass and picked
up his own, turning his body towards hers on the bench as he settled back down. The top couple of
buttons on his dark shirt were open, and Kara found her eyes following the tanned column of his
neck down and wondering what he’d be like if he lost the shirt altogether.
Balls. She closed her eyes and brought her glass to her lips.
She didn’t want to think that.
Don’t think it, don’t think it,
don’t think it.
Maybe if she said it three times in
her head something magical would happen and he wouldn’t be so attractive when she reopened her
eyes.
Well, that didn’t work. In fact, if anything, he looked sexier still,
because he was watching her, waiting for her.
“Are you waiting for me to apologise
too?” she asked, placing her drink down.
“Do you feel like you need to?”
He was half school teacher, half sex
god, and for some reason Kara found herself ready to be thrown over his knee
and chastised for her sassy mouth. Oh Lord. This was going to go bad. Champagne
swilled in her veins, and there was no stopping the words from leaving her
lips.
“No. I actually feel like sliding
over there and unbuttoning your shirt.”
Dylan’s expression went from lazy
amusement to round-eyed surprise in five seconds flat. Surprise laced with
arousal.
“Which is why you should leave right
now,” Kara continued, aware that she’d said too much, as always.
Her big mouth had got her into all
sorts of trouble over the years, and it would seem that this was destined to be
another of those times.
She watched him swallow hard and
wanted to trace her index finger down his Adam’s apple.
He watched her watching him.
“Well, that’s an unexpected
development, English.”
“You’re telling me,” she said. “Leave.
Please?”
Kara maneuvered herself off the
bench and stood to allow him room to get out.
“Should I finish my drink?”
“Nope.”
“I could take my shirt off?”
He was standing too close, his
fingers on the buttons at his chest, his eyebrows raised suggestively, his expression caught halfway between
joking and deadly serious.
“Goodnight, Dylan.”
Kara crossed her arms firmly, and
for the briefest of seconds Dylan’s eyes moved down to the cleavage she’d just inadvertently served up
like two oranges on a platter. She didn’t dare open her mouth for fear of what
might come out. “Rip my dress off and take a proper look,” sprang unhelpfully
to mind.
Dylan leaned down and touched his
lips against her cheek; warm, tingly, and lingering for a second longer than could be deemed
platonic. Jesus, he smelt like nothing on earth. She wanted to lick his
face.
“Goodnight, English,” he said
softly. “I’ll see myself out. And for the record… I’ve never felt less like leaving anywhere in my life.”
My Review: 5 stars
Once again, Kitty has outdone herself. What a fantastic ending to this trilogy. There's so much I want to say, but can't because almost anything will give away what's going on. Suffice it to say that Sophie and Lucien are still together. Sophie and her best friend, Kara, have gone into business for themselves opening boutiques in all of Lucien's clubs. Kara and Dylan hit it off from the beginning. They too have chemisty that's off the charts. There are so many things that could happen, and so many things are still up in the air. So much happens in this book, it's awesome. I enjoyed reading about Kara and Dylan and seeing what the next steps for Lucien and Sophie are. Loved it!! If there were more, I would read them. As it is, I'm going to have Kitty's name on my to-read list whenever something new comes out. I have thoroughly enjoyed the entire series.
