Note: If you have not read Severed Angel, the first book in this series, do not read this book just yet, read Severed
Angel first then proceed with this one.
This book picks up right where the first
left off, well ok it backtracks just a bit, then picks it up. This is just a
high adrenaline, knock your socks off, keep you on the edge of your seat action
packed and emotional at times as the first book. It’s about good versus evil,
betrayal and finding what you’ve been looking for all at the same time. The
story line is complex, but very well written. The characters are wonderfully
realistic, and that just makes you love them or hate them even more.
Satan is out for revenge against Angel
and is after Eve to do so. Eve is thinking that she just left the man she loves
behind, but her mind is playing tricks on her because she sees him everywhere
once she gets back home. On the plane, Eve befriends Elle, her seat mate, and
they form a friendship. Little does Eve know that Satan is also on the plane
with her. Angel determines that he has to go after Eve to save her from Satan
and brings along Ink and Cowboy to do so. There are a lot of twists and turns
in this book, expect the unexpected is all I’m saying. Not only do I love Angel
and Eve together, but one of the unexpected things in this book is the story of
Ink and Elle. It doesn’t detract from the main story, but adds to it in a
delicious way. The men are super hot and determined to save Eve from Satan. We
get a glimpse of Justice, who will be featured in the third and upcoming book
in this series and I definitely can’t wait for that. The end wraps up Angel and
Eve’s story nicely and lets other relationships progress as well. I loved this
book and as I said eagerly anticipating the next book.
