“Brooke, it’s obvious
that I’m extremely attracted to you, and it seems that you at least enjoy being
around me. Part of that attraction is purely physical. God knows you’re a
beautiful woman!” She dips her head at that and takes a breath to begin
talking, but I interrupt her. “Please —hear me out.”
“Okay,” she murmurs in a
small, nervous voice.
“But part of the mutual
attraction has to do with the type of people we are, and how we recognize in
each other that component which can complete us. I’m attracted to the part of
you that is sweet, shy, and giving. And while you don’t need me to, I enjoy taking care of you. Likewise, you enjoy it when I
take control and take care of you. Maybe not in all aspects of our time
together, but at least some of the time. Do you agree?”
After a long period of
silence, she finally lifts her eyes to mine and nods.
“I like controlling the
sexual aspect of a relationship. It’s just the way I am. And it seems obvious,
to me at least, that you take pleasure in that part of our new relationship.”
I adjust her so that I
can see her better.
“A terrific way for
people like us to explore their sexuality is through power exchange.” I can see
I’ve lost her, as she’s looking at me with her head crooked to one side. “Look,
